Lancaster and Fleetwood Conservative Parliamentary Candidate Louise Thistlethwaite was delighted to meet up with Prime Minister Boris Johnson when he visited the area.
Mr Johnson made a whistle-stop visit to announce the reopening of the Fleetwood to Poulton rail line and to support Louise’s campaign to win the seat at the general election.
Louise said: “It was great to see the Prime Minister in the area and to hear his commitment to reopen this vital transport link for Fleetwood. I was delighted to receive his backing for my general election campaign for Lancaster and Fleetwood.
“As a dedicated Leaver, I am proud to have pledged to support the Brexit deal the Prime Minister has negotiated with the EU and which will allow us to honour the referendum result and leave the EU on January 31st.
Backing Louise’s campaign for Lancaster and Fleetwood, Mr Johnson said: “If elected with a majority Government on December 12th we will Get Brexit Done, introducing legislation on Day 1 of a new Parliament, and we will be out of the EU by the end of January, putting this delay, confusion and chaos behind us.
“Louise has always respected the result of the referendum and will join me in getting Brexit done at every opportunity.”
